Rwanda stands with Israel in memory of the victims of the Holocaust

Minister of National Unity and Civic Engagement Dr. Jean Damascène BIZIMANA joined the rest of the world for the 77^th commemoration of the Holocaust, an event which took place at the Kigali Genocide Memorial.

Among the participants, were Israeli Ambassador to Rwanda, Ron Adam, and Germany Ambassador to Rwanda, the Archbishop of Kigali, Cardinal Antoine Kambanda and the UN Residence Coordinator Fode Ndiaye.

In his remarks, Dr Jean Damascène reiterated the Rwanda’s solidarity with the survivors, their families and friends in remembrance of the Holocaust victims.

“On behalf of the government of Rwanda, I express to the Holocaust survivors, their families and friends my deep solidarity and empathy in the memory of the victims,” he said.

He further called upon young generation to walk away from genocide ideology, hatred and other divisions which leads to genocide.
