On this Tuesday 15/03/2022 thirty-four students who are attending the Police Senior Command and Staff Course (PSCSC) at the National Police College (NPC) based in Musanze District visited the Ministry of National Unity and Civic Engagement.  They are on a study tour in various public institutions with the purpose of linking the theory to the practice across the institutions and Ministries.

While welcoming and briefing the students, the Minister of National Unity and Civic Engagement Dr. Jean Damascène Bizimana highlighted the rationale behind combining the former National Fund for assistance to victims of Genocide (FARG), the National Unity and Reconciliation Commission (NURC), the National Commission for the Fight against Genocide (CNLG) and the National Itorero Commission (NIC).

He highlighted that the former institutions were delivering more or less same or complementary services in a scattered way and the creation of MINUBUMWE aimed at bringing together all efforts aimed at promotion of national unity and reconciliation, fighting and preventing genocide and its ideology, instilling Rwandan values within its citizens and providing basic social needs to needy genocide survivors. The students were also taken through the unity and reconciliation journey of the country and after the presentations, they were given time to enquire on unclear issues and provided with appropriate answers.
